Given the travel costs, it surprises me when any participants only 
attend for one day (whether that's only the first or only the second).

But I do understand that travel funding is becoming more difficult, 
which is perhaps why the May meetings are largely attended only by those 
who have specific agendas regarding workshop acceptance and timetabling.
