We may want to consider a Jabber or XMPP Client which, due to its open
nature, can integrate with other popular "brand name" Jabber clients that
users may use/be familar with anyways such as GTalk, Trillian or iChat.
There are also quite a few Mobile and Web clients which promote greater
access.
