[governance] Remote participation for IGF 2010: individuals and groups

Dear Sivasubramanian,

Remote participation is incremental and has improved step-by-step over the
years. I believe we have come a long way and the number of hubs registered
(more than 30) shows that there is interest and trust.

In order to move on the direction you suggested (which I believe would be
awesome) we need the involvement of the community. What we call today the
remote participation working group are 5 people who multitask a lot :)

I believe there are already some interesting initiatives on this direction.
We just need to connect the dots and avoid duplicated efforts. I would like
to invite to take part on this conversation Jeremy Malcom, who has developed
a platform he previously mentioned on the list, and Tim Davies, who is
working on an aggregator of all the material produced during the IGF (from
Webex chats, to blog posts and twitter)

Together, I am sure that much can be done!

Best wishes,

Marilia
