I fully agree with Stephane's statement.
What's more, the African Internet traffic is already at a large extent
routed through the SAT-3/WASC optical fiber undersea cable which is
operational since 2003 ... So please correct your information base
accordingly.
As far as the eastern and southern coast of Africa is concerned, there are
still some disputes and arguments about financing and ownership of projects
like EASSy..
