Dear all,
On the numbers issue, what I have found intriguing is that there is a felt
need to actually put cut-off points for number of participants for each
stakeholder group in place, while 1500 is actually slightly more than the
number of people who usually attend an IGF (without any cut offs being put
into place)?
Is this in an attempt to crack up government participation? (And perhaps
Adam or someone else in the know can remind us of how big a percentage of
IGF participants comes from governments - I tried to find that info on the
IGF website but didn't manage to locate it)
Before agreeing to any quotas, I think it would be good to have a bit more
of a sense of the rationale.
Thanks and good luck with the meeting, Marilia and Adam!
