[Governance] GDC Deep Dives - CSO Coordination

Dear IGC members,

For those interested in coordinating CSO engagement with the UN Global
Digital Compact Process, a few of us who have been actively following
(including APC, GPD, Access Now) have prepared a document (accessible here
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HVh8ZALt0c7Ug4hVWzLunuzw9aOjCHmqleajfBh4QQA/edit#bookmark=id.7htsodgtrxe>)
for this purpose. The aim is for this to serve as a guide to the GDC
development process and a means of aligning our messaging where
possible/desired for each of the thematic deep-dive sessions, and
potentially for engagement moving forward in the process.

The goal is to have a different organisation lead the advocacy and
engagement coordination for each deep-dive session. We are calling for
volunteers to sign up (link
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HVh8ZALt0c7Ug4hVWzLunuzw9aOjCHmqleajfBh4QQA/edit#bookmark=id.7htsodgtrxe>)
to lead this effort; please let us know if you would like to join and you
can be added to the drive and share the relevant documents.

To summarise next steps for those interested in engaging:
- Note in the document the deep-dive session(s) with which you are
interested in engaging;
- Sign up to volunteer to lead the engagement process for a thematic
deep-dive session (we are particularly in need of a lead for next week’s
session on digital inclusion); and
- Start filling out the content of the messaging for individual sessions
(each session has an individual coordination doc with space for this).

Lastly, if you have any recommendations for improving this coordination
process, please do not hesitate to reach out! Any suggestions are more than
welcome.
