Dear all,
As mentioned during the IGC's IGF pre-event yesterday, a few of us have
worked on a letter of support for the IGF MAG's Working Group on IGF
Strategy and Strengthening, 2020 response to the paper on “Options for the
Future of Digital Cooperation”
<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/filedepot_download/10447/2267>. I
believe this responds well to comments made during the event regarding the
importance of strengthening multistakeholder mechanisms in order to support
work towards a public interest internet by civil society.
You can find the letter attached and in the Googledoc here
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XP_oDIR-vs7fHZX4RPVEtTGPX-6SYRs4qpKsAlzxw0I/edit?ts=5fa19615>.
We are taking feedback and commentary on the letter until 09 November. We
propose that this letter is circulated for sign-on afterwards until 12
November and submitted in order to feed into discussions on IGF reform
which are underway as part of the IGF, and which will be part of a
discussion of the Main Session on Digital Cooperation, details below:
IGF 2020 Main Session: Digital Cooperation
<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2020-main-session-digital-cooperation>
*17:50 to 19:20 GMT (12 Nov)*
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to let Bruna and I
know.
Best
Sheetal.
