Without commenting on the details just want to call out that we had a statement from ISOC BoT members yesterday that less than 1% of .org registrations sit with not for profits, food for thought in these dicsussions on impact.

Thank you, yes. So it seems that the new owners of .org plan to hike
the .org domain prices relatively slowly, and they are required to do
it uniformly. They probably hope to avoid, as much as possible, any
single major shitstorm - while still maximizing their profits (by means
of taking the money from nonprofits which are to a large part funded by
donations).
