What a thing to vote on during the holiday break!

*The United Nations General Assembly on Friday approved a resolution that
aims to create a new international convention on cybercrime.*

*The Russian-sponsored resolution was approved by a 79-60 vote with 33
abstentions, **according to The Associated Press
<https://apnews.com/79c7986478e5f455f2b281b5c9ed2d15>**.*

*The resolution was approved over objections from both the European Union
and the United States, as many fear language in the resolution will allow
for crackdowns on expression.*
