Renata, I think you got it right.
CSCG needs to submit their nominations/endorsements to the IGF Secretariat before Feb 1st, that's my understanding of Ginger's email.

 Hi Ginger

I'm a bit confused by the timeline
In the call, the nomination period ends at Feb 1st

However, CSCG slate must be appointed before that time?

Thank you

Renata

Hi everyone,
I have not seen any discussion on this list about the IGC endorsements for MAG 2016 CS slots. The IGC is a member of the CSCG, and should present its endorsements for consideration. This requires group consensus.

Although we do not know how many CS MAG members will be appointed, we should/will present a good slate of CS endorsements to the IGF Secretariat.

The CSCG need the list of IGF endorsements (nominees should already have submitted their applications to the IGF Secretariat), ideally a maximum of 3, with short bios/qualifications, by 25 January, so that the CSCG NomCom can make final selections, and send them to the IGF Secretariat/UNDESA.

To avoid unnecessary controversy, you/we should be doing this in an open and transparent manner, facilitated by your co-coordinators, with members discussing qualifications and characteristics, and expressions of support, so that the IGC can reach consensus on your endorsements.

If you have any questions, Analia, your CSCG representative, should answer them for you, although Ian and I, as independent co-chairs are also willing to assist.

Expressions of support for your colleagues might be a good way to start.

Best regards to all,
Ginger
