Dear Arsene,

I do copy what it was sent by the CSCG (Ginger) as the next steps that it will follow until presenting the final 5 candidates to the UN:

"We do not have a deadline, but as Peter (Major)would like to announce the members of the WG on 31 March, and I assume he will need our list before then, we must get a call for nominations out as soon as possible.
I will draft a suggested email for your comment and our use, and suggest the following timeline for your comment:
by 29 Feb: Finalise draft of call for nominations to be used/adapted, including criteria for selection of nominees.by 29 Feb/1March: Send out call for nominations to all member groups, and as widely as possible.
by 15 March: Deadline for submission of candidate names from member organisations and any other groups/individuals who want to be consideredby 15 March: Constitution of the CSCG NomCoM (in case it is different from the CSCG representatives for any reason)
Probably by 22 March: Final selection of 5 CS representatives (assuming Peter (Major)will want the names more or less by then)."
.....
Therefore, I think in the next days we will launch from the IGC the call to present your proposals and then send the list to our internal candidates to the CSCG.

If you have any question, please do not hesitate to ask. If I do not know the answer, I will ask the CSCG without any problem :)

Best,
Analía

 Analia,
So the Feb 8th deadline was shifted? I am also wondering how the selection of CS representatives will be done? Will the CSCG make a public call or will they just chose from their own discretion? When is this process supposed to be completed? Of course before March 31st.
Please let me know and sorry if i missed something.
Regards,A

Dear Remmy,

Thanks for your answer. Not at all, it is only that I came back from holidays (summer time in the South - Argentina) and I read the mails and inmediately ask Ginger to be excused from the process since I am willing to present myself as a candidate for CS. So, so far I just receive a mail from the CSCG (but we did not start to work) and from yesterday I will be excluded from their list and Deidre will represent IGC until the selection process is finished, so she will be in charge for the following weeks and then I will recover IGC representation upong CSCG.

Kind regards,
Analía

Hi Analia
Thanks for the information.
This notice was shared about 22hrs ago and the deadline was February 8, 2016, is there any reason for delay in sharing and very late at that.
Are you sure the selection has not been made or was it shifted.
Thanks for responding as prompt as always.
Keep walking.

Dear members,

Some of you have read thie UNCTAC (CSTD). I am interested to participate in this call and since I am the representative of the IGC in the CSCG,  I have to  recused myself of this role until the selection process is finished.

Meanwhile, I have ask Deidre, as retiring co-coordinator and familiar with the CSCG work, to represent IGC members there and to keep you updated about the debate with regard CSTD open call.

If you have any question, do not hesitate to ask,
Kind regards,
Analía
