Isn´t this a challenge for the UNCSTD Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation? I encourage you to write a comment. Dateline is tomorrow, December 15!

I think Samantha is pragmatic, rather than pessimistic. If the IGF would like to become more relevant, it would be helpful if it could morph itself into a platform where ever present tensions between multistakeholder and intergovernmental institutions could be resolved amicably. The IGF in Guadalajara was the first that I have attended, and while I was glad to participate and to be present, I was struck by how little collaboration there was across and within stakeholder groups. I hope this changes moving forward.

Hi all,

An interesting article from Samantha Dickinson.

http://blogs.cfr.org/cyber/2016/12/12/despite-renewal-the-internet-governance-forum-is-still-on-life-support/

Any thoughts on her reflexions? Do you feel she is pessimistic about the future of the Internet? What's your take on the future of the IGF?

What do you think is the main issue that needs to be focused on for the next IGF in Geneva next year?

How do you think the IGF should do to not lose some stakeholders such as the Gov and the private sector?

Please do share your thoughts.
