The India's proposals at PP, commented by Parminder, sounds like rational
politics in the context of an hegemonic State representing its own
lobbies/monopolies and a worldwide mass surveillance/spying organisation.
Whether each State is more or less democratic is a diversion in the
discussion, which pertains to independence and mutual trust. Of course
impacts have to be analysed, but this is for each State to draw its
conclusions.
