A quick google finds 'IG' could mean: 1) a currency trader in London (paid prioritization aka advertisement ; ); short for Inspector General, or my favorites, short for the 'Ig Nobel' prize; or according to the urban dictionary 'ig' is slang used in sentences such as:
' Simon derided the poseur, "That dude was straight-up ig!" After losing all his cash he sighed in exasperation, "I am so friggin' ig."  

Wolfgang:

IG could mean also "Ian the Great" if he excepts the role as an Editor :-)))
