Ian,
you will say that I keep repeating myself, but the internet is a 
system made of our machines. If we were paying attention to it in a 
proper CS manner we would run it and make money enough to fund our 
agendas and make it behave the way we want, etc. People with money 
just earned it. Nothing prevents us from doing the same together. 
Nothing forced us to go for so long by rules we are not pleased with. ...
