Fear is not a good advisor.

We need to think calmly about the motivations of the various actors,
about what that means for what the real opportunities are in regard
to the summit that has been announced for 2014 (and the more long
term processes into which this summit will feed, whatever they may be),
and then make our proposals in regard to the agenda of the summit, and
in regard to other significant concerns related to it.
