[governance] IGF Cancelled & thoughts about 2014

Izumi,

Let met concur that I am hearing the same thing from contacts in the country.

As has been reported by other posts, discussions and efforts are underway to 1.  see if the event in the country can be saved, and 2. develop possible contingency plans should the event not be able to be hosted in Indonesia.

While other discussions have focused on options regarding dealing with the situation, let me advance another issue - that being the 2014 IGF. To my knowledge, no country has yet publicly stated an offer to host the event. Hopefully, a country that is far more able to support and bring the political support needed to host the IGF can step forward.
