The third problem is; I think every technical body needs some kind of political oversight at a higher level. (I think Milton agrees with this, although he thinks that the US law is the best form of political oversight).

Inaccurate. I simply said that given the default we are in, the costs and risks of moving it out seem to outweigh the alternatives, especially when the alternative is international law which is if anything less accessible to ordinary people and less effective at enforcing accountability on routine matters.
