Good People
My apologies. That response was meant for Walid and not for the list but...it just happened.

Hi Walid
Remember me? We met during a PhD workshop last year. Are you still in Sweden?
Kind Regards
Grace

Hello Salanieta,

I'm not in Syria but I have lots of people in touch with me -anonymously- because they are using a circumvention software I developed to help them overcome web censorship. The situation is extremely dangerous for activists and protestors yet they are pushing forward. It appears that the Internet remains open though fear has been growing particularly as there were reports of phishing sites set up by regime elements to trap some facebook users from Syria. If you have some specific questions, I'd be happy to ask them.
Sincerely,

Walid

Dear All,

Is there anyone on this list from Syria or Iran? It would be interesting to hear of the situation in Syria from your perspective.
