Egypt's embattled President Hosni Mubarak unveiled a new cabinet on
Monday with key ministers retaining their positions.
Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit and Defense Minister General
Mohamed Hussein Tantawi kept their jobs, as did the communications,
justice, energy, information and oil ministers.
Interior Minister Habib al-Adly was replaced by Gen. Mahmud Wagdi and
Finance Minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali lost his position to Gawdat
el-Malt.
Egypt has been engulfed in violent protests since January 25 against
Mubarak's 30-year regime, with demonstrators demanding economic and
political reforms. Some 150 people have been killed and another 4,000
have been injured, the Al-Jazeera TV channel said.
