1-char gTLD in latin based scripts are close to nonsense, literally. It
would boil down to a collection of twentysome billionnaires wasting away
tons of $ just to show off. Still, diacriticals could be used for puns and
obscure connotations, FWIW.

*Ø*  xn--sca, *scandinavian*

In non latin scripts, specially asians, there might be subtle
interpretations of some specific characters. Nothing wrong with that, when
it's rooted in people culture. But let those people speak for themselves.
