Actually votes are extended all the time.

If for any reason there is the belief that not everyone had the chance to vote it is fine tradition in democracies to extend the vote to give more people time.

I am also sure that you will find nothing in the charter that declares the time for a vote of a prohibition against extending votes.  these things are at the discretion of the coordinators.

golly gee, you have been arguing for democracy and now you want to cut the vote off for anyone who had problems getting the ballot.
