I was going to ask what do these two have in common.
But now I ask: What is the difference?
About at the turn of the century someone had a global international direct vote of the people. Even the flaws were perfect. The problem was,,,, it worked.
Where is that model now with a decade of technical improvements?

When you have to be a member of a club in order to vote, chances are the vote will reflect special interests and not the interests of the individual.
