Dear Ginger,
 
I have been reading comments by members of the World Blind Union (WBU) on  
the International Disability Alliance CRPD Forum list regarding the  
implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with  Disabilities.  I am 
learning, but I still do not fully understand all the  issues with respect to 
communication on the internet that are relevant  for blind people.  From what I 
understand, Adobe pdf files are  really difficult for them to use and Adobe 
has not changed its format to make it  more accessible.  I also know that 
pictures on websites without captions  are problematic.  I suggest that you contact 
the leadership of the World  Blind Union to get up-to-date information from 
them regarding practical  suggestions.  The current president of the WBU is 
William Rowland.   According to the website of the WBU, the contact information is
