[governance] How do ICANN's actions hurt the average Internet

If international connectivity fell in the woods and there was no one around to hear it, would it still make a sound?  Roland, everything that is international connectivity - is - because of it's use. Names and addresses and numbers provide for that use. Hence the ANN. We really do not want connectivity so dudes and dudettes can stand around and say "cool".

That is poor network planning, there was no need for it, even then. But international connectivity is not an ICANN issue (it might be an IGF issue though).
