AFAIK, neither SR nor i represent the technical community.
What I am more interested in however is a very basic question, that
brings the focus back to the real topic at hand.
IF we let this draconian decision by the 2008 NomCom stand, without
taking any actions to prevent future fiddles, then logically we must
identify those who we are willing to exclude. I'd like a list of
those orgs whose staff are "not us". Any takers?
I'd also like to know why it's seemingly ok for us to nominate
part-time staff, Board members and/or consultants to these bodies.
