No legal authority as such.
However, there's no shortage of crackpot alternate roots already out there.
Like there's no shortage of people holding up signs that the world is going
to end sometime before next Saturday .. or is it the Saturday after that.
And there's no legal requirement that such crackpot alternate roots be
adopted, or endorsed by a global operator community either.
