If I recall correctly, there is a marvelous project near by (in Asmara,
Eritrea) wherein local villages are reclaiming the tidal coastal desert with
mangroves.

I've heard it said that "cultures barrow from one-to-another selectively".

So in the coming of global warming and the expansion of arid lands (such as
those of Ethiopia) Axum and it People have a lot to offer.
