Hi,

Remote participation is rather painless in ARIN (the American  
Registry for Internet Numbers), and it is possible to make comments  
remotely.  Someone reads them and they are taken seriously.  I have  
done it.

I also spoke to Raymond Pizak, President of ARIN, recently and he is  
rather keen to get more civil society input.

So, if you are interested, but all means signup and participate.
