I would be willing to do it with Adam if a majority thinks that 
affiliations of any sort are not a problem.

I have no problem _not_ to do it if a golden badge is seen as an 
obstacle. After all, this is a dangerous job. The spokespeople will be 
held responsible for what journalists write...
