Based on the interest expressed so far (albeit by, as you say, a handful
of people), I've been asked to start a Steering Committee nominating
process.  I'm happy to do that, but there will also be a "no
appointment" option so that those who prefer the status quo can vote
against nominating a committee, in which case things will, by default,
continue as they are.

It may take me up to a week to get this in place, but I will keep the
list updated.
