Dear friends,
Over the last few days, a group of civil society organisations met in NY to
discuss the WSIS+10 review. As a result of the meeting, the group developed
a comprehensive joint comment on the WSIS+10 zero draft document, which has
now been formally submitted to the United Nations.
Please see the submission and the list of signatories attached and in this
google doc:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mHBCrgp1kXJpjn0x2WF0m0ShNZvX-NTvdNS-L02GZ64/edit?pli=1#
The submission aims to reinforce support for human rights within the WSIS
framework, the need for a people-centered view of development and security,
and open and inclusive approaches to governance.
This document is now *open for organisational and individual endorsements
until COB Monday, Oct 19*.
You can add your endorsement either directly on the second page of the
google doc, or by responding to this email. We will be submitting an
updated list of signatories next week.
Best wishes,
Lea
