That's great, but it is problematic for a us to rely on a US-based organisation to represent the interests of non-US citizens on this US-based human rights incursion.  I don't think it's appropriate for international Internet users (and non-users) to hang their hopes on what EFF does, and that's not intended in any way as a criticism of EFF (because as I hope you know, I'm a strong supporter).
