[Governance] [NRIs List] Speaking at the Digital part of the Summit of the Future

Hello Nnenna,

In the YouthLACIGF we had as part of our results we have some messages on
Data Governance, that are the following:

Data governance:

   - Different countries in the region have been making efforts to
   strengthen or establish their personal data processing and protection
   policies and laws. In this regard, it is important to have institutional
   schemes that protect citizens and guarantee their privacy.
   - Digital trust and the quality of the information offered and processed
   by digital platforms are essential elements for strengthening LAC's data
   governance ecosystem. To this end, it is relevant to establish regulatory
   frameworks that promote access to public information, protection of
   personal data and regulation of cross-border data traffic.
   - Digital competencies are fundamental to create a data governance
   ecosystem. It is essential to promote digital appropriation from popular
   education and digital skills training for communities, so that they have
   tools to manage their data and their participation in the digital ecosystem.
   - A multidisciplinary approach is needed to ensure that international
   data transfers comply with international data transfers are in line with
   human rights protection standards and international and regional
   cooperation in data governance.
