Dear all,

As announced, the IGF Secretariat, UN Department of Economic and Social
Affairs (UN DESA) and the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on
Technology will host an *online briefing update on the proposed approach
for implementation of the IGF Multistakeholder High-level Body (MHLB)*.

All stakeholders are invited to join us for this one-hour meeting on *Monday
14 June at 13:00 UTC* (calendar invite attached). Please *register* in

Stakeholders will have the opportunity to express their views and ask
questions in up to 3 minutes long intervention, upon the moderators
approval.


The proposed approach to the MHLB configuration is outlined in the *attached
input document*. The co-hosts will guide participants through it during the
Monday meeting. Please note that the described approach takes into account
the various written inputs received and consultations that have taken place
to date, including those provided for the Options Paper for the Future of
Global Digital Cooperation, the response to the Options Paper by the IGF
Multistakeholder Advisory Group Working Group on IGF Strengthening and
Strategy, and the public online consultation and written inputs submitted
in February and March. A summary of the public online consultation and a
list of the written inputs are available on the IGF website
<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/>.

The purpose of the briefing is not to rehash previous discussions. The
final decision and determination of the body’s attributes will be made by
the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his Executive Office.
