The *_IGF 2021 First Open Consultations and MAG Meeting_*
<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2021-first-open-consultations-and-mag-meeting>
of the 16^th IGF planning cycle will be hosted online on *22, 23 and 24
February*.
 
The open consultations day on the 22^nd February will facilitate a
dialogue amongst all stakeholders for advice on how to develop a more
focused IGF 2021 process, including its intersessional work and annual
meeting.
 
The consultations will also include a meeting with *Ms. Maria Francesca
Spatolisano, the Assistant Secretary-General for Policy Coordination and
Inter-Agency Affairs and Officer in Charge of the Office of the
Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology* (22 February at 14:30 UTC),
followed by an open discussion on the Secretary-General’s Roadmap for
Digital Cooperation’s proposed Multistakeholder High-Level Body (para
93(a)).
 
We will conclude the day with an *online social event* hosted by the
Government of Switzerland and MAG Working Group on Hybrid Meetings,
supported by DiploFoundation and Geneva Internet Platform (event starts
at 16:15 UTC).
 
On 23 and 24 February, the MAG will further discuss the IGF 2021
thematic focus and its intersessional work, including the Best Practice
Forums and Dynamic Coalitions, as well as how to create synergies with
the National, Regional and Youth IGFs. The meeting will also hear more
about the new IGF’s intersessional activity, the Policy Network on
Environment.
