What sad news!
Ian was one of the pioneers that actually *did something* to spread the
Internet worldwide back in the day, when others were just talking about
it. His continued work on Internet Governance was key to promote civil
society at the table of the multistakeholder model. He held strong views
and there were times when we absolutely disagreed but his passing is a
great loss to our community and his wisdom and gravitas will be missed.
