Dear all,

Two new organizations have launched today.

The Trust & Safety Professional Association is a new, nonprofit, member-based organization that will support the global community of professionals who develop and enforce principles and policies that define acceptable behavior online.

Founding members include Airbnb, Automattic (including WordPress.com and Tumblr), Cloudflare, Facebook Inc. (including Instagram and WhatsApp), Google (including YouTube), Match Group (including Tinder, Hinge, Match, and OkCupid), Omidyar Network, Pinterest, Postmates, Slack, Twitter, and the Wikimedia Foundation.

In parallel, a second nonprofit organization, the Trust & Safety Foundation, has launched with a $2 million founding contribution from Cognizant. The foundation will focus on research relating to the work done by trust and safety professionals, and improving society’s understanding of the field of online trust and safety.

Best wishes,

Ayden Férdeline

P.S. I am sharing this news for information purposes. I have no relationship to either organization. However, I am friends with one of the founders, Clara Tsao, and I have seen how incredibly hard she has worked to bring these two organizations to life.
