this event, which is nearing the end of the its second day.What may not be

2020) will be convened from *22nd-24th July 2020*. With the general
theme "*Digital
Access and Inclusion in Response to COVID19*" the vWAIGF 2020 will focus on
key sub-themes that relate to human rights issues in COVID-19;
Cybersecurity, Trust and Privacy; and Emerging Issues and technologies. The
objective will lead to discussions on how best to mitigate and solve these
issues in the Post COVID -19 scenario, and put the sub-region in a state of
preparedness for future pandemics. The discussion will also focus on
policies that would promote digital inclusion and access which are critical
to West Africa in achieving the 2030 digital transformation goals.

Le* Forum virtuel sur la gouvernance de l'Internet en Afrique de l'Ouest

2020*. Avec le thème général « *Accès numérique et inclusion en réponse au
COVID19* », le vWAIGF 2020 se concentrera sur les principaux sous-thèmes
liés aux droits de l'homme dans le COVID-19; la cybersécurité, la confiance
et la confidentialité; et les problèmes et technologies émergents.
L'objectif mènera à des discussions sur la meilleure façon d'atténuer et de
résoudre ces problèmes dans le scénario post COVID -19, et de mettre le
sous-région en état de préparation aux futures pandémies. La discussion
portera également sur les politiques qui favoriseraient l'inclusion et
l'accès numériques, qui sont essentielles pour l'Afrique de l'Ouest pour
atteindre les objectifs de transformation numérique à l'horizon 2030.
