Thanks so much for this important announcement, Analia, and noting, most
importantly, that IGC member nominations should be made to the IGC (here on
the list), and that the IGC will follow its normal endorsement and
shortlisting procedures, I think, similar to the MAG process.

So I think (Analia, De, others, correct me if I'm wrong or not clear) that
the IGC should post its procedures for endorsement and shortlisting so we
(IGC members) know how shortlist endorsements will be chosen, before
sending the shortlist (of about 3 candidates) to the CSCG for civil society
consideration.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me (about the CSCG)
or better yet, to post here to the list.

The 15 March deadline for the shortlist is firm :), so although Analia has
given a deadline of 14 March to give IGC members plenty of time to consider
nominating, please try to post your nomination earlier, so that the IGC has
time to discuss and prepare the shortlist by the 15th.

The time for discussion is now, so that this process gets better each time
we go through it. If you might be interested in self-nominating, please
start discussing on the list, and sharing any additional concerns or
information. If you think a colleague might be interested, my personal
preference (as an individual) is that you communicate with that person, and
suggest that they think about it and self-nominate if they would like to do
so. Again, as a personal opinion, self nominations indicate a willingness
and commitment that being nominated by another does not show so clearly.

Thanks for getting involved! This is our opportunity to voice individual
and CS concerns on enhanced cooperation!

Best wishes to all,
Ginger
