Hi ,

It was obvious from its inception that playing with IANA functions is
nothing but a pastime tabled till the next US gov is firmly in the driver
seat, maybe end 2017, as they have more critical priorities than IG.

The crux of the matter is splitting ICANN functions. Not to be a public
debate, of course.
