[governance] Remote participation

Colleagues,
During the discussion of recent internet governance related meetings I
don't remember seeing any comments about the steady erosion of remote
participation or even webcasts.
Considering the area being discussed by these meetings this seems to me to
be a very serious loss.
How do others feel?
