Hi Vanda, Sala:

I'm also a member of the committee as a representative of civil society.

The venue has a capacity limit of around 800. If the number of requests to attend exceeds the number of available places, the organizing committee will evaluate the expressions of interest and make selections based on trying to ensure a balance of stakeholders, representation of countries and regions. 

Some of this is covered in an FAQ, <http://netmundial.br/faq/>.  But all very rushed.  Questions help, so please ask.
