It was always clear that the real issue was about the oversight of ICANN 
- at least since the WSIS, if not before... As Karl also says, it is 
pure deception that the core oversight issue has somehow been 
transformed into a series of different, hardly comprehensible, issues. 
One can understand why the US and ICANN would like to exercise such 
deception. What is far more difficult to understand is why should so 
many of us be ready to be so deceived, and  raise not a wiff protest 
against this elaborate shenanigans of the so called IANA transition and 
the related stuff.
