IETF chair Jari Arkko's presentation at the RIPE conference this week in Athens "Pervasive Monitoring and the Internet". Slides and video at: <https://ripe67.ripe.net/archives/video/18/>

Among other things, discusses what the IETF's doing in response, vulnerability (or not, he thinks) of IETF standards, etc.

from a slide titled "reactions"

* Increased the need for more diverse Internet (more IXPs, cables, services), good!
* Increased the calls for more nationally controlled Internets, bad!

Adam
