The Corporate European Observatory makes the same point as Peake makes
regarding Europe in Brussels and Strasbourg.
However, the EU has no equivalent of the Citizens United decision in the
US (in which corporates can donate freely to their candidates, which is
constitutionally protected). Formal (liberal) equality has its uses and
abuses I suppose.
