There's a lot of well thought-out analysis on the Internet on just
about any topic. The problem is IMO that these worthwhile exemplars of
critical thinking are often hard to find and recognize in the midst of
all the shallow stuff -- and especially when strong emotions are
involved, even intelligent people are not likely to search long for
in-depth information. I wonder whether some kind of distributed
reputation system might help with that problem?
