Hello Parminder.

In case of Loreal, the article is not 100% correct.

Sure, it is treated as a private TLD, but they don't say (yet) that subdomains can only
used by Loreal itself.

Some hints of how they would operate the TLD can be found in section 
"18(a). Describe the mission/purpose of your proposed gTLD."

But anyway, private usage of generic terms is questionable.
