Certainly in Africa, AFRALO brings input into the ICANN processes from
many At-Large structures.

It is worth noting that recent improvements in Internet connectivity
make remote participation from At-Large Structures in remote locations
more possible, especially with recent advances in Voice over IP.
I have noticed a real operational improvement within the past 12 months.
