Actually, Avri pressed this in NCSG's meeting with the Board in Prague, and there seemed to be agreement that asking the LEAs whether they'd checked with their respective governments' privacy people when formulating proposals was a reasonable first step.  Sort of a concrete proposal for you, John.

CS inputs into actual governance processes can matter…
